The world is filled with males of all ages and so many of them are very curious about new gadgets and products which are currently sold on the market. The top toys for boys were created by some of the best toy industries around the globe. Luckily human beings can find great older products for a fair amount of money.
All of these toy companies have since gone out of business but their items can still be located over the internet. Fortunately many of the items can be found in perfect condition while others may have some wear and tear. In the 70's a toy company named Mego was the first industry to introduce eight inch figures which resembled the characters from DC and Marvel comic books.
Mego took it upon themselves to create female dolls of Farrah Fawcett and other pretty young women who were within the public eye during the 70's. Some of these women statues are now very valuable and hard to obtain since they are so rare. Males will usually collect these women characters more than females. Nowadays the Batman, Aquaman, Superman, Spiderman and Robin figures are much easier to buy.
The superhero line proved to be very lucrative for Mego since they represented the eight inch style of doll which was easier to carry. Hasbro had the twelve inch G. I. Joe figures which were very large. Young men could not easily place many of these items within a toy chest after playtime. As time went on the 80's witnessed statue industries making smaller and smaller doll like figures for children to enjoy.
Mego would have survived much longer if they would have taken the offer to create "Star Wars" products once this great movie came to America. After viewing the film many males wanted a Hans Solo or Luke Skywalker figure to place on their table at home. Instead Mego went after "The Black Hole" license and this was a big mistake on their behalf. These items eventually ended up within the discount bin at every retail store.
Kenner on the other hand had huge sales from these "Star Wars" dolls and spaceships which were flooding the toy stores each and every day. Human beings of all ages could not get enough of this particular product and even grown men wanted to add a Princess Leia doll to their collection. Fortunately Kenner was able to survive for a few more years because of these great sales which were happening.
Radio Shack was another great company which managed to sell great items to males of all ages. They were good at retailing electronic items which could amuse someone for hours. Their remote control cars and trucks became very popular during the past twenty odd years.
The military has also come out with special gliders and other airplanes which are usually sold at aircraft shows which happen at certain locations. At Fort Benning Georgia the staff is always willing to put on an action show which will feature these flying products before the actual show begins.
